CONGRATS
I spent the weekend sorting and organizing my sewing supplies, and found that I have way too much stuff!!! I saved a box of vintage patterns, vintage linens, and a few finished sewing projects to send off to like minded readers. No sense in sending my treasures to the landfill.

ReplyDeletei just want to say you rock. i don't have any kids... yet. but its a cool giveaway
ReplyDeleteYou've always impressed me with your talent and creativity! There's a sister in our ward that reminds us all of you! She loves fabric, sewing, books, and is super creative! She has heard numerous times things like "Oh, I wish you would've moved in earlier and could've met Heidi!" or "You are just like Heidi!" Anyway, since I have 3 girls, I'll put my name in for the contest! My favorite childhood books growing up were actually the Madeline book series. When I was little, I loved everything french! My uncle went on his mission to France when I was about 5 or 6, I went to a "french" preschool, and during the first couple years of elementary school I went to school early for french lessons, and then from 7th-my 1st semester of my senior year I took french and also did a year of french in college. I loved traveling there, speaking it, etc. etc. Do I still speak it? NOPE! :( Anyway, those books were lot's of fun! ~Jessica jessmwood@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI wish I could meet her too Jessica! Maybe when you and everyone from MA come to Portland to visit.... maybe.
DeleteOh I love these capes! Nice work!! And my daughter would probably flip to have one.. She has requested a Madeline birthday party at the end of March. She is turning three, but Madeline books and dvds are her favorite! She is learning the words to her favorite Madeline songs. (So glad that I purchased all those old Madeline books for her off ebay before she was even walking!) It is sweet to see her loving books I love or loved. And she is learning a bit of French apparently from the episodes!? Today she answered me, "Oui, Ms. Clavel" to my surprise... and yesterday she was play shopping and said she had to go home "to break her bread, brush her teeth and go to bed!" So, I think we have a true Madeline lover here! I love it. Hope you can count her in for an entry!
ReplyDeleteYour fabric scrap bags are amazing and I hope to recreate from your inspiration someday. Thanks for all the inspiration so far! I am looking forward to really looking through all your posts now!

Trying to pick a favorite children's book is very hard as I taught third grade for years and loved reading to them. One of my all time favorites is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. After that would be any of Roald Dahl's books. Thanks for the chance to win this cape. My granddaughter loves to dress up and would really like this cape. I've already bought her a Madeline book for Easter, so this would be a great addition.
